The state of Georgia’s number one prospect for 2020, Arik Gilbert, announced he was on campus in Athens Monday.
Gilbert stands 6’5 and weighs in at 250 pounds and is the most sought after player at the Athlete position in the class of 2020.
Luckily for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs, Gilbert plays his high school ball at Marietta High School, only 90 minutes from Athens.
Gilbert is listed as “athlete” but has been recruited mainly for his talents at wide receiver and tight end. According to many recruiting outlets, Georgia holds a strong lead over other blueblood programs such as Alabama, Auburn, and Clemson for the five-star.
