Tony Andreu joins Ross County as John Hughes makes first addition for relegation dogfight

John Hughes has moved to make Tony Andreu his first signing at Ross County.

The 32-year-old attacking midfielder has joined on a contract for the rest of the season.

Andreu, who has also had previous spells in Scotland with Livingston, Hamilton and Dundee United, has been a free agent since he left St Mirren last season.

Hughes said: “We are delighted to add Tony to the group.

"Tony has good experience in the Scottish Premiership and will certainly add that experience to the team.

“Over his time in the game, Tony has shown on many occasions how important a part he can play in teams.

“You can look at his times with Hamilton, St Mirren and other clubs and see he can add that bit of quality to the teams he has played with.”

Hughes took over from former Staggies boss Stuart Kettlewell last month and has four points from his first four games as he bids to keep his new side in the Premiership.
