Tom Parker's wife Kelsey Hardwick says The Wanted star was 'the centre of our world'

Tom Parker's wife Kelsey has spoken of the heartbreak after The Wanted singer sadly passed away today following a battle with terminal brain cancer glioblastoma.

Kelsey confirmed the tragic news as part of a heartbreaking statement on Instagram and wrote how the 33-year-old father was the "centre of our world". The pair had two children, Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, one, and have been married for almost four years since their marriage in July 2018.

Tom was initially diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2020, but continued to fight and has been touring with his bandmates throughout March as he tried to stay positive.

Kelsey wrote on Instagram: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side. Our hearts are broken.

"Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence. We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.

"Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you."

The pair have been together for more than ten years and Kelsey has previously spoken of the courage and strength that her husband needed throughout his battle with brain cancer.

Earlier this month she took to Instagram to share a quote. The mum of two shared: "Behind every strong person is a story that gave them no choice."

Tom has recently been surrounded by pals Jay McGuinness, Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran and Max George on stage as he performed alongside them while sitting on a throne fit for a king at recent concerts.
