If you thought Sir Tom Jones actual name was Sir Tom Jones think again as the singing legend stunned viewers watching The Voice on Saturday name by revealing his REAL name.
It's not uncommon for celebs to have different aliases as their stage name. Reg Dwight is of course better known across the globe as Elton John, while Cliff Richard's real name is Harry Webb. But many people who incorrectly assumed Tom Jones was in fact Tom Jones' real name were shocked to the core when he informed his Voice colleagues that wasn't the case during Saturday's show.
The first act onto the stage in the latest round of Blind Auditions was Leeds singer Bleu Woodward. She performed You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC as she aimed to get the coaches' chairs turning and, while Sir Tom didn't turn, he revealed to Bleu that he had something major in common with her.
In the clip from ITV which you can watch above, the Welsh crooner told her "What did you say your name was? Woodward? My last name is Woodward - Thomas Jones Woodward."
Olly Murs exclaimed "I never knew that! and fellow coach Will.I.Am, also stunned, remarked "Tom Woodward?!" And plenty of people at home were shocked too. One tweeted: "First time watching the voice and I find out Tom Jones’ last name isn’t jones it’s Woodward. life is a lie," and another reacted: "How have I been on earth for 40 years and only now learned the Tom Jones isn't actually called Tom Jones?! "
