Tom Daley's husband Dustin Lance Black accused of throwing drink over woman in nightclub

Tom Daley's husband Dustin Lance Black is said to have called the police after a nightclub altercation in which he's said to have thrown a drink over BBC star Teddy Edwardes.

Dustin is alleged to have got into the dispute in the early hours of Thursday morning after enjoying a night at London's Freedom nightclub.

Tom and Dustin had been drinking with star of BBC's The Big Proud Agency when things supposedly took a sour turn. Teddy, 32, alleged that Dustin, 48, wasn't happy when she'd asked a fellow reveller to leave her table and threw a drink over her.

She claims she responded by giving Dustin "a little tap on the back of the head" before he rang the police and she was removed from the club.

In an Instagram post, she claimed to have gone for a couple of quiet drinks when she bumped into the pair. She went on to explain how incident was "unprovoked" but led to her getting cautioned by police.

She told her followers: "I didn’t have a drink to throw back so I did choose violence, but I wasn’t that violent he got a little tap on the head. Tell me why he is crying outside saying it’s a targeted attack and he’s traumatised and called the police, so I have to wait for hours and now I have been cautioned and have to go in for interviews."

She later added that Tom was lovely throughout and was trying to calm down the situation before further explaining the events of the night.

Teddy continued: "For everyone asking what happened, we basically invited them to where we were sitting and I bought them some drinks etc, everything was fine. And then this random guy came and sat with us and my friend said they felt uncomfortable because they didn’t know who it was so I asked security if they could move them on…

"The security came to move them on and Tom’s husband started going mad saying how welcome I’ve made him feel and that was leaving, so I was like OK. Then got straight drink thrown in my face.”

In statement shared with the Mirror Online, a Metropolitan police spokesperson says: "Police were called at 00:29hrs on Thursday, 18 August to a club in Wardour Street following reports of an altercation involving a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s. There were no arrests. Enquiries continue."

The Mirror has contacted Dustin's representatives for comment.
