N’Keal Harry’s work ethic often caught Tom Brady’s attention during the regular season. The offseason is no different.
The New England Patriots rookie receiver posted to Instagram on Friday to show he was working out at the ASU Dickey Dome. Harry is a former Sun Devils standout who the Patriots drafted in the first round in 2019. His post featured a few photos from the workout, with the caption, “Cookin’ up.”
To that, Brady responded: “Gonna be a great year for you @N’KealHarry.”
Brady, of course, is a pending free agent, and may not be Harry’s teammate, if the quarterback signs with another team in March. Still, Brady is cheering on Harry for as long as they are teammates — and likely beyond that point.
Harry managed just 12 catches, 105 yards and two touchdowns in his rookie season, and perhaps because of his difficulties in stepping up, Brady is reportedly looking for a team with better weapons than what New England had in 2019. Brady would return to the Patriots, if the situation looked more enticing. Or, if another team puts together a more intriguing cast, Brady seems OK with an exit from New England.
