Tom Brady on Spygate 2: ‘People are making a lot of nothing’

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has done his best to downplay the conversation surrounding Spygate 2.

The Patriots admitted to videotaping the Cincinnati Bengals’ sideline from the press box in Week 14. New England said it broke the rules inadvertently while filming for a documentary series on advance scouts. The NFL has launched an investigation to see if the team’s football operations had any hand in the recordings, which would inconsistent with what the Patriots have claimed about the incident.

“I’ve put it out of my mind,” Brady said Monday night, as transcribed by NESN.com. “I’ve not thought about it since I heard about it. I think a lot of people are making a lot of nothing. … We are thinking about other things. We’re trying to focus on winning games. As a player, my job is to go out there and do the best I can do and eliminate as many distractions. A lot of people are trying to make this a distraction for us and we’re not going to allow that to happen.”
