Tom Brady ends 2020 regular season with 40 passing touchdowns

While the New England Patriots finished their season with an empty 28-14 win over the New York Jets in Week 17, Tom Brady was getting prepped for a playoff run.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers ran the Atlanta Falcons off the field in a 44-27 victory, while securing the No. 5 seed. Brady, 43, threw 26-of-41 for 399 yards and four touchdowns in the win. Antonio Brown recorded a season-high 11 catches for 138 yards and two touchdowns in the performance.

Brady finished the year 11-5 in Tampa Bay and brought the Buccaneers to the playoffs for the first time since 2007. While continuing to break records and solidify his spot as the league’s greatest, Brady also became the second player to throw 40 passing touchdowns for different teams — Peyton Manning was the other guy.

Bill Belichick and the Patriots finished the season 7-9 and have a slew of huge decisions to make for 2021. Brady making a return seems to be out of the question.
