Tom Brady claps back at hater on Twitter

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady seems tired of the criticism of his speed – or lack thereof. Sure, Brady has been quick to make fun of himself for being one of the slowest men on the NFL field. But Brady can run a 5.17-second 40-yard dash at 42 years old. That’s not bad.

Yet, a Twitter hater began to knock Brady’s “Madden NFL 20” rating, a 96 overall, because of the quarterback’s lack of speed.

“I 100% could run faster and further than Tom. So could 50% of high schoolers, 80% of college players, and 99% of pros. Learn how to unbiasedly access the totality of a player, then adjust these numbers and I could possibly take you seriously,” the user wrote.

Brady clapped back on Monday.

“I’m so much faster than you Matt,” Brady said.

The Twitter user’s criticism makes little sense. Brady doesn’t need to be the fastest quarterback in the NFL to maintain a high rating. He can be slow — relative to the other players in the league — and still win more Super Bowls than any quarterback before him.

But regardless of how misguided the criticism was, Brady wouldn’t stand for the disrespect.

It’s also worth noting the quarterback has 1,000 career rushing yards.
