Tom Brady and Mike Vrabel devolved to trash talking in seconds at joint practice

Tom Brady and Mike Vrabel weren’t on the field for much more than a minute before they devolved into trash talking.

The New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans are working together during joint practices ahead of preseason’s Week 2, which brought together the pair of former teammates. Brady, 42, and Vrabel, 44, played together in New England from 2001 to 2008. Now Vrabel, the Titans head coach, is in charge of game planning against Brady.

The familiarity seemed to breed competition. They yelled at each other from across the practice fields, and definitely skipped the pleasantries. It seems Vrabel was giving Brady a hard time for walking onto the field — Brady essentially told Vrabel to mind his own business.

Vrabel and Brady had quite the connection as teammates. Vrabel may have played linebacker for the Patriots, but he also spent some time at tight end, where he had 10 receptions for 10 touchdowns.
