Tokyo confirmed an additional 77 cases of the novel coronavirus Monday, the first time in about two months the daily total fell below 80. On July 8, a total of 75 cases were confirmed within the capital.
Monday's total number of patients experiencing heavy symptoms stood at 24, a decrease of 3 from Sunday. The capital's cumulative total of cases now stands at 21,849.
