Toddler steps sold on Amazon recalled over ‘risk of serious injury and death’

Two types of toddler stools sold on Amazon have been recalled due to reported injuries.

This week, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced recalls on Woodure-branded children’s tower kitchen step stools and HARPPA’s Nordi foldable toddler towers.

Both products “pose a risk of serious injury and death due to tip over, fall and entrapment hazards,” according to the CPSC.

The affected Woodure stools are models WD1764, WD1357, and WD1720 — sold in plywood and measuring 18 inches deep, 16.9 inches wide, and 34.6 inches tall. The model number is engraved on the underside of the bottom step.

The recall affects 91,000 units sold on Amazon between July 2024 and June 2026 for between $60 and $100.

Woodure has received 22 reports of instability or tip-overs, including 15 reported injuries with scrapes, cuts and bruises, according to the CPSC.

Consumers should stop using the recalled tower stools immediately and store them away from children.

Meanwhile, the HARPPA stools were sold in white, black and blue with natural wood color on the stool’s step, platform and safety bars.

The affected model number HANS0002 is printed on a label on the underside of the stool’s platform.

HARPPA has received three reports of tower stools collapsing or tipping over, resulting in two injuries, including scrapes, cuts and bruises, according to the CPSC.

The recall affects 47,166 units sold via Harppababy.com and Amazon.com from September 2023 through June 2026 for about $130.

Consumers should stop using the recalled stools immediately, store them away from children and contact HARPPA for a free repair kit, including shipping.
