TV host slams Prince Harry for 'hurting his grandmother'

TV host Allison Langdon has taken aim at Prince Harry for 'hurting his grandmother' as she questioned why he continues to take part in interviews about his experiences in the Royal Family.

The 42-year-old breakfast presenter, who hosts Nine Network's morning show Today in Australia, was chatting to ITV's Royal editor Chris Ship about the Sussexes.

It comes just days after Prince Harry starred in a new documentary alongside Oprah Winfrey called The Me You Can't See in which he opened up about his mental health over the last few years.

During this morning's segment, Allison questioned why Harry would continue 'hurting his grandmother' by agreeing to take part in interviews where he talks about the Royal family.

"Every time he comes out and he does something with Oprah I just keep thinking - I think most people do - how on earth is the Queen responding to this?" Allison asked.

"If Harry knows that he's hurting his grandmother, why does he keep giving these interviews?"

She added: "He left the UK because he wanted to get away from the press and the scrutiny and yet he can't help being the headline."

Chris Ship then suggested that some people now believe that Harry is 'invading his own privacy'.

"Yeah. There are some people who are accusing Harry of invading his own privacy," the ITV star added.

In Harry's latest bombshell interview, he once again appeared to take aim at the Royal Family as well as reflecting upon his mental health struggles throughout the recent years. During the candid discussion, Harry recalled only seeking therapy in a bid to address his past trauma after meeting Meghan.

In the episode, he also accused the Royal Family of "total neglect" and claimed his dad allowed him to "suffer" as a child in the face of the media.

During his second sitdown with Oprah, Harry said: "I thought my family would help, but every single ask, request, warning, whatever it is, just got met with total silence, total neglect.

"We spent four years trying to make it work. We did everything that we possibly could to stay there and carry on doing the role and doing the job. But Meghan was struggling."

The interview has been met with a mixed response, and Harry's family are said to be ' deeply hurt' by the recent claims.

It comes just months after Prince Harry and his pregnant wife Meghan sat down with Oprah the first time to reflect upon their experience in the Royal Family and decision to leave for California.
