Titans’ victory over Patriots is still fresh in the mind of both teams

It was only last year that the Tennessee Titans recorded a commanding 34-10 victory over the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots in Nashville.

As the two teams go through joint practices at Saint Thomas Sports Park this week, it’s clear the game is still fresh in the minds of players from both sides.

On Thursday, there was plenty of jawing off and even a bit of a skirmish during the second to last training camp practice. But outside of the heated exchanges between opposing players was Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s humorous gesture.

Brady headed out to the practice field with a small trophy in hand with the final score of the last meeting between Tennessee and New England.

It’s clear the quarterback has a lot of respect for what his friend does, but he certainly doesn’t want his job.

In fact, when someone posed the question, Brady responded with a resounding “Oh, hell no.”

While both teams will be going head-to-head to claim the win in just a couple of days, it’s good to see Brady lightening the mood here in the midst of the tension.

Kickoff for Saturday’s preseason game between the Titans and Patriots is set for 6:00 p.m. CT in Nissan Stadium.
