Titans receive ‘A’ grade for A.J. Brown pick

The Tennessee Titans addressed defense first on Day 1 on the 2019 NFL Draft, then turned their attention to the offense with their first selection of Day 2.

The team chose to add depth at the wide receiver position by selecting Ole Miss pass-catcher A.J. Brown.

The pick was well-received by most analysts, and earned an ‘A’ grade from CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco, who ranks him above fellow Rebels wideout D.K. Metcalf.

“He’s a better receiver than DK Metcalf. I like this kid, I think this is a good pick,” he wrote.

Prisco also sees Brown as a player that can help better starting quarterback Marcus Mariota as he enters the fifth and final year of his rookie deal.

“The Titans have to do everything in their power to make Marcus Mariota better, he has to get better, so why not give him another weapon, allow him to throw the football, be better throwing the football, be more productive.”

With the grade, the Titans have received straight A’s from Prisco thus far in the draft.
