Titans’ Mike Vrabel gives injury updates on Long, Tannehill, Julio, Fulton for Week 10

The Tennessee Titans have ruled out three players ahead of their Week 10 contest against the New Orleans Saints, and quarterback Ryan Tannehill is dealing with an illness but is expected to play.

The three players ruled out, according to head coach Mike Vrabel, are linebacker David Long, cornerback Greg Mabin and safety Dane Cruikshank. This is the first game Long has missed since Week 1.

Vrabel also revealed that Tannehill is dealing with an illness and will be listed on the injury report, although he won’t carry a designation for the game, meaning he is expected to play.

Last but certainly not least, cornerback Kristian Fulton, who was designated to return from Injured Reserve earlier in the week, has a chance to suit up. Vrabel says that decision will be made in the next 24 hours.

As for wide receiver Julio Jones, who popped up on the injury report on Thursday after appearing to tweak his hamstring during practice, Vrabel says the team is not considering shutting him down right now to get past the injury that has plagued him all season.

Jones has missed three of nine games this season and has made a minimal impact even when on the field. We’ll see what his designation is once the injury report is released later today.
