Titans’ Kevin Byard named NFLPA Community MVP

Tennessee Titans safety Kevin Byard can add yet another accomplishment to a growing list of them that he has collected during his impressive four-year career.

On Friday, the NFLPA tweeted out that Byard was named its first “Community MVP” of the 2020 NFL season after he “got Nashville students into the school spirit by packing and distributing more than 300 distance learning kits of school supplies and essential hygiene items to disadvantaged families.”

Here’s a look at the announcement, as well as photos of the Titans safety lending a helping hand to his community.

Byard reacted to the news, courtesy of Jim Wyatt of Titans Online.

“It’s an honor and a blessing to be highlighted as NFLPA Community MVP,” Byard said. “I’m grateful to give back to my city and ensure I’m truly making a difference to those in need.”

The man nicknamed “The Mayor Murfreesboro”, who attended college at Middle Tennessee State, is no stranger to giving back, as he has done so countless times during his Nashville tenure.

This is just another shining example of how right the Titans were to invest in Byard, a player who is great in the locker room and on the field, and an even better man off of it.
