Titans cancelled final minicamp practice in favor of Topgolf

A third day of mandatory minicamp?

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel didn’t find that totally necessary.

The team did convene on Thursday, but it wasn’t for a practice at St. Thomas Sports Park. Instead, Vrabel took the team for an outing at Topgolf.

Vrabel says he decided against holding another day of practice to minimize the chances of injuries before training camp kicks off in late July.

“I don’t think we’re going to beat anybody on this last day, but I think that we could certainly lose to some teams by losing guys,” Vrabel said on Thursday per The Associated Press’ Teresa Walker.

“I think that’s the biggest thing that you want as you come out of spring. You’re just trying to improve but stay as healthy as you possibly can.”

Titans rookies are set to report for camp on July 22, while the remaining players will join in on July 25.

The first practice open to the public will be hosted on July 27.
