Titans awarded 2 compensatory picks for 2022 NFL draft

The league has revealed the list of compensatory picks for the 2022 NFL draft, and the Tennessee Titans have been awarded two of them, as past projections indicated.

The pair of compensatory picks will come in the fourth (No. 143) and sixth rounds (No. 219). With those two picks added the Titans officially have seven selections in the upcoming draft.

Here’s a look at the full slate:

Round 1, Pick 26

Round 3, Pick 90

Round 4, Pick 128

Round 4, Pick 143 (comp pick)

Round 5, Pick 167

Round 6, Pick 203

Round 6, Pick 219 (comp pick)

We knew the Titans were getting at least one comp pick this year, but the question was if they’d get a second.

That depended upon whether or not cornerback Kevin Johnson, who was signed by Tennessee in 2021 but then retired before the season started, counted towards the equation. As it turns out, he did not.

The Titans are missing a pick in the second round due to the Julio Jones trade with the Atlanta Falcons, and another in the seventh thanks to the Isaiah Wilson trade with the Miami Dolphins.

The 2022 NFL draft will take place in Las Vegas and will be broken up over three days, starting with the first round on April 28, the second and third rounds on April 29, and then the final four rounds on April 30.
