'Tired' Stacey Solomon says 'at least I tried' after leaving fans divided over adorable snap with baby girl

Stacey Solomon has told her fans 'at least I tried' as she attempted to get involved in the newest social media trend. The 33-year-old is currently spending time miles and miles away from home as she films for the upcoming series of her show Sort Your Life Out.

Earlier this week, Stacey got emotional as she briefly popped back to her Essex home, dubbed Pickle Cottage due to the mum-of-five's nickname for her children, to fulfil some other work commitments. But on Thursday (July 6), she headed back to Scotland where she'll now spend a few days away from her husband Joe Swash and her children.

She admitted that it's the "longest I've been away from Rex, Rose and Belle ever," before adding: "I'm a bit sad... I'm not sad actually. I feel a bit emotional. I think I'm tired anyway." Realising she didn't sound like her usual, bubbly self while struggling to speak to her fans, Stacey added: "Oh god, I sound a bit low don't I? Sorry. I'm trying to squeeze in these cuddles when I can [and I'm] feeling a bit emotional about it."

But the Loose Women star has since offered an update and as she arrived in Scotland and got comfortable, she decided to try out new social media site Threads. The Meta app, from the company behind Facebook and Instagram, has a text-style format which encourages users to post updates and join public discourse, similar to Twitter.

Deciding to sign up, Stacey posted a picture of herself smiling widely into the mirror as she sported a blue sports bra and what appeared to be matching leggings. "Alone in a hotel room in Scotland so thought I'd join this thing," she typed alongside the snap.

"Didn't know what to post so here's me looking as tired as I feel, in a hotel toilet. It's giving is she actively on the toilet vibes. Why am I straining so hard to smile? Oh well might as well start as I meant to go on..." she added. Stacey then shared the post to her Instagram Story and said: "When you're alone in Scotland so you jump on the bandwagon.

"This will probably be my one and only post knowing me but at least I tried," she added with a string of crying laughing emojis. Meanwhile, Stacey had left fans divided as she shared an adorable string of selfies taken alongside her baby daughter, Belle.

"Just because… her smile makes my heart melt," she typed alongside the adorable images of herself and the five-month-old who looked up inquisitively at the camera with a sweet soft smile. Stacey continued: "And because I’m away for work so missing her and all the pickles loads at the moment! Can’t wait to get home Sunday and squeeze those little cheeks. Happy Thursday everyone."

And the photos quickly saw fans rushing to comment as some couldn't decided who Belle was looking like so far. @han_madison2230 said: "I think she looks like a mix of BELLE and ZACH!! She’s got more Stacey in her than Joe. Rose and Rex are like twins born in different years, rose has the Solomon colouring!"

@__itsjustclaire replied: "She’s so sweet and looks so much like your biggest pickle Zachary." @chlo_moose commented: "I can’t believe how much she looks like her daddy! So cute." But @delilahsummer59 posted: "Looks so much like her mummy she's absolutely beautiful." @mahadyjosie echoed: "She looks more like you in these pics."

Others, meanwhile, wanted to show their support to Stacey as she admitted to struggling with being away from her children. @ourcornishsanctuary wrote: "You work so hard! Your an amazing role model to all of your children and they have a beautiful life because of you and Joe! Counting down the days until your home with your pickles."

@villagewaxmelts shared: "She’s so sweet and you’re the best mummy." @shaz.addict typed: "All your kids are just the happiest most adorable things ever, a real credit to you & Joe." @claires_memory_bears_ added: "Keep going lovely. It will soon be the weekend and those cuddles will be right there waiting. You are doing amazing."
