Tipping Point's Ben Shephard left cringing at ITV player's 'easy' fast food blunder

Tipping Point’s Ben Shephard was left cringing at one contestant as he hosted another instalment of the ITV game show on Monday evening.

Ben Shephard fans tuned in for another instalment of the dramatised arcade game, which sees contestants battle it out to win a cash prize.

The game show consists of a series of questions quizzers must answer to win counters, which are then dropped into a huge arcade-style coin machine separated into four drop zones.

The Good Morning Britain presenter returned to the Tipping Point studio with three new hopefuls, who were whittled down to Dave and Harry, who went head to head for a cash prize.

During the round, a question about American states left Dave and Tipping Point presenter Ben blushing as Harry made a glaring fast food error during the latest show.

Ben, 47, asked: “The only two American states to begin with the letter 'K' are Kansas and which other?”

As Harry passed the question to Dave, who correctly answered Kentucky, Harry blurted: “KFC, I should have got it, yeah.”

The surprise comment left Ben in stitches, while Dave knocked down an impressive 11 counters in the giant arcade machine as a result of answering the steal correctly.

“Harry!” Ben later exclaimed. “On the steal, Dave. Nice drop!”

Harry's blunder was also picked up online by Tipping Point viewers, who took to Twitter in hysterics, as one wrote: “Think 'Fried Chicken', Harry.”

A second posted: “Surprised he didn’t think “the chicken bloke” and then said Nando's,” before a third added: “Even Ben is glazing over.”

Once Dave had clinched a significant lead over Harry, he sailed through to the final round on the ITV game show, giving him a chance to take home the jackpot.

Despite amassing an impressive cash pile of £3,700, Dave failed to knock down the jackpot counter at the end of the final round, leaving him with a tough decision to make.

Opting to avoid risking the trade, Dave decided to go home with his cash pot and put it towards a family trip to Florida, saying: “Given that [the counter's] not wanting to move forward and is tucked in under that black counter now, £3,700 is a lot of money, I think I'll stay with the money.”

"Wow. So is that you proposing to Nathan?" (ITV)

This comes after Ben Shephard was left speechless on a recent episode of the hit ITV game show, as a winning contestant detailed the surprising way she plans to spend her jackpot.

After one contestant net managed to tip the coveted jackpot token over the counter and secure £10,000, she said she would put the cash towards a trip to America and a wedding.

Before Ben could say anything she held her left hand up and added: "But I am not engaged." Stunned, Ben replied: "Wow. So is that you proposing to Nathan?"

The giggling contestant explained: "It's giving him a big prod," before Ben replied: “Oh, so he's still got to do that bit? You've been told, Nathan."
