A TikTok user has explained how people have been using their microwave wrong.
The household appliance can help make our lives easier by quickly warming up food when you're in a rush for dinner. However, a user named @onlyjayus shared why food in a microwave can sometimes cook unevenly.
They said: "Do you know when you reheat food in the microwave and there's some parts of it are hot enough to burn your mouth and other parts are frozen. Well, that happens because you shouldn't actually have your food in the middle of the plate here.

"It should be on the edge so it can actually rotate around and cook evenly." Onlyjayus has built up 18.4 million followers on the content creating platform.
Followers flooded the comments in disbelief after the revelation.
