Whether or not most of us have the pride to admit it, even drivers that have been behind the wheel for years sometimes stumble across road signs they don't actually know the correct meaning behind. One theory test expert who knows all the road markings inside out has revealed one of the most common signs many motorists do not fully understand.
Every driver will have certainly came across a ''no return within one hour'' sign at some point on the road, the Mirror reports. Theory test instructor Annie, using her TikTok account @theorytestpractice, was asked to clear up the widespread confusion about the troublesome sign - and her viral clip has now exceeded a total of 644,000 views.
Annie's informative videos are a hit online with her 776,000 followers as she helps to enlighten seemingly both learner and experienced drivers to enhance their driving skills and knowledge.
She explained ''I've been asked to explain signs like this one. This sign is saying between Monday and Saturday, you can park between 8 o'clock in the morning and 6 o'clock at night, but only for one hour.
"No return within one hour - that simply means that you're not allowed to drive out of your parking space, drive around the block, and go straight back into that parking space. Well, not for an hour anyway," she added.
In the post's caption, she clarified the rule, saying: "At other times you can park for as long as you want to."
Taking to the comments, several budding TikTokers praised Annie for sharing the insightful information as some users even admitted to never knowing the rule. One user admitted: "I never got the no return within one hour! Thanks for that!"
A second joked: "I always thought no return within 1 hour meant, your not allowed to come back to the car for at least an hour lol."
Another user penned: "I always thought it meant you couldn't leave for one hour after parking." A four admitted: "I've always wondered with these."
