Hundreds of cinemas across the UK are offering all tickets from £3 on Saturday for National Cinema Day. Organised by industry body Cinema First, Cineworld, Odeon, Picturehouse and Vue are among the chains where you can buy discounted tickets on September 3.
Independent cinemas are also taking part in the day, which organisers say "celebrates every aspect of the big screen experience". Many cinemas are showing a mix of recently-released films, as well as bringing back much-loved classics, many of which may not have been shown on the big screen in several years.
Cineworld, Odeon, Picturehouse and Vue are running the discount on all tickets, including for films shown on premium screens such as IMAX. National Cinema Day says other cinemas may charge extra for premium screenings, so check before you buy.
You can buy tickets in advance or on the day, subject to availability, with a booking fee of up to 95p for buying tickets online (depending on the chain). There's no additional fee for tickets bought at the cinema.
