LGD Gaming enter the South America Qualifier as the clear favorite to claim the region’s lone spot at TI 2026. The squad, which acquired the roster of HEROIC, made history by securing SA’s first tier-one international LAN title at PGL Wallachia Season 2. The team remained one of the strongest in the region despite roster changes, posting a top-six finish at TI 2025.
PlayTime (ex-paiN Gaming) are another squad capable of challenging for the qualifier spot. The roster features several established South American veterans, including DarkMago and Scofield. TI 2026 South America Qualifier format
The TI 2026 South America Qualifier pits the 10 teams in a double-elimination bracket, with invited teams LGD Gaming, PlayTime, Hokori, Red Hot Chili Pibble, and Amaru Gaming already seeded in the upper bracket quarterfinals.
Every match in the tournament is played as a best-of-three (BO3), except for the grand final, which is a best-of-five (BO5) battle. Only the region’s top team will earn the lone ticket to Dota 2‘s worlc championship event of the year.
