Thursday's weather forecast for Leeds as sunny start expected to peter off

Leeds is set for a bright, sunny start on Thursday that will peter out into cloudy weather for much of the remainder of the day.

Thursday, May 12, is set to follow a similar trend of the last few days - higher temperatures with periods of sun darting in and out.

The Met Office predicts that from 6am until 10am there will be periods of sunshine in the city.

That'll give way to light clouds from 10am, with sun peeking out from behind the clouds again between 12pm and 1pm.

From then on in it's expected to be a cloudy remainder of the day, with temperatures peaking at 4pm at 16°.

It'll feel slightly colder than that throughout the day, and wind gust will hit a maximum of 27mph in the afternoon.

The sun will rise at 5.10am and set at 8.56pm.
