Thugs attempt to rob Uber Eat delivery driver

Motorbike-riding thugs tried to rob an Uber Eat delivery driver in Norris Green .

The victim was on a scooter in the area of Stalisfield Avenue/Lewisham Road when he was followed by a motorbike with a pillion passenger on board at 11.30pm yesterday.

The bike pulled up alongside the scooter and the pillion passenger began kicking the scooter telling the rider to stop and get off.

The rider of the motorbike also grabbed at the wing mirror.

The delivery driver rode off and was followed by the bike. A number of other bikes were seen in the area at the same time. It is not clear at this stage whether they are linked to the first motorbike.

The delivery driver was not injured but was left shaken by his ordeal.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses in the area of Queens Drive/ Muirhead Ave at that time who may have seen the incident or males acting suspiciously in the area to get in touch.

The rider of the bike is described as a white male. He was dressed in dark coloured clothing and wore a face mask. He had a headcam on his helmet.

The pillion passenger was described as white, around 21-25 years of age, of medium build with green eyes and blond curly hair which was long at the front. He spoke with a local accent and was wearing blue/green shorts, a white T-shirt, white Nike trainers and a black coat.
