If you’re scared of heights (or high prices), look away now.
Glass floors have been fitted to the cable car across the Thames in a bid to promote the service to thrill-seekers.
But the ride, with 360 degree views and the Thames visible 90 metres below your feet, comes at a premium.
An adult ticket for the “Glass Floor Experience” costs £35 at weekends and during the holidays and £25 off peak.
Children pay half of the adult rate. This compares to £7 for a single journey and £13 for a round trip in a conventional “pod”, though all journeys in a glass-floor cabin will be return trips.
Two of the cable car’s 36 pods – numbers 11 and 29 – have been fitted with a triple-glazed glass floor. They open to the public on Monday June 23 and can be booked in advance from today (Friday).
A 20% discount is available for tickets booked online until August 31 by using the code “GFE20”.

The cable car, officially known as the IFS Cloud Cable Car, is run by Transport for London, having been launched by former mayor Boris Johnson in 2012 as part of the celebrations for the London Olympics.
It links the Royal Docks on the north side of the Thames with the Greenwich peninsula and the the O2 arena in south-east London.
About 1.5 million journeys a year are made on the cable car but it is regarded by most Londoners as a tourist attraction rather than a way of commuting across the Thames.

Josh Crompton, TfL's head of the IFS Cloud Cable Car, said more cabins could be fitted with glass floors if they proved popular.
He told The Standard: “We asked customers what else they would like to see on the cable car, and one of the things was a glass-floor cabin.
“One was bringing back our fine-dining experience. But nearly 50% of customers wanted a glass-floor cabin.”
Asked if the cabins were only for daredevils, Mr Crompton said: “It’s quite daunting, but when you get up here it is quite relaxing.
“The plan is to keep them here for the foreseeable future and we may even add more. If it’s a really popular thing, then why not?”

Mr Crompton said the higher price reflected the “unique offer”, adding: “There is nowhere in the UK that has this, with a glass floor this high above London.
“The cable car has been one of London’s leading attractions for more than a decade and is a much-loved landmark in the city’s skyline.
“We’re excited to offer this new experience to customers, extending the incredible views from the cabin even further thanks to the panoramic glass floor.”
