Towels are one of those items that take absolutely forever to dry, and with the cost of energy soaring, many people are turning their backs on their tumble dryers and looking for alternative ways to get things ready for their wardrobes and cupboards.
One savvy TikToker, @duchessofthrift, spends her time looking for handy money-saving tips for people during the cost of living crisis. As people are more reluctant to turn their heating on and use their tumble dryer, they are trying to find alternative ways to dry items - and this mum has found the perfect item which she describes as a 'miracle'.
The woman explained that she was really struggling with the cost of running her tumble dryer and the cost of heating. She then said something that will be relatable to most Brits: "We're really struggling to get things dry, and the worst thing to get dry are towels."
She then went on to say that it feels like 'we're in this energy crisis for the long haul', so she explained that she wanted to 'adapt' the things she uses around the house.
She said: "I've invested £23 into a set of microfibre towels, and oh my god, it's a miracle. So these come out of the washing machine dry.
"They're going to need an hour to air but they barely need any time to dry."
She then referred to them as an 'absolute miracle' again.
The set contains two bath towels, two hand towels, and two facecloths, and said she was glad she'd made the investment.
In the comments, people were eager to find out more about the towels, whilst others shared their handy ways to get towels dried quicker.
Someone wrote: "I'm lucky I have a large cupboard where the hot water tank is. I've put a clothes airer in there and they dry overnight."
