Three-year-old child rushed to hospital after being hit by car in Limerick

A three-year-old child was rushed to hospital on Sunday after being hit by a car in Co Limerick.

The child was involved in the collision near Rhebogue shortly after midday.

Emergency services were called to the scene and the minor was brought to Universal Hospital Limerick to be treated for minor injuries.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended a traffic collision involving a minor (aged three) in the Rhebogue area of Limerick City, Co. Limerick on the afternoon of Sunday, the 14 th of March 2021.

"The child was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of her minor injuries."
