Three, Vodafone, Eir and Sky customers face major hikes as broadband, mobile and TV prices to increase from today

Some of the most popular broadband and mobile services are set to hike their prices from today.

Three, Vodafone, Eir and Sky customers will see an increase in their bills as part of the new changes. The price of TV and broadband bills will rise for Sky customers in a first price hike since 2018, the TV provider confirmed that a minimum 5.1% increase will be implemented.

This means patrons will pay around €54 extra each year. The bill hike will be capped at either €7 or 7% per month, but the average person will see an increase of around €4.51 a month.

Eir business customers will be paying 10% more on their bills but residential customers will see an 8% rise on fixed voice, broadband, TV, and mobile bills after the company capped its annual increase "in light of ongoing cost-of-living considerations", CorkBeo reports.

It means that a mobile plan with a monthly price of €29.99 is to increase by €2.40 to €32.39. A broadband plan with a monthly price of €65.99 will increase by €5.21 to €71.20. However, anyone who joined Eir after February won't see any price changes until next year.

Three has launched a 4.5% annual price adjustment on their bills, including Three Broadband and 12-month Sim Only plans for customers who joined after November 2021. For example, if you are on 3 Bill Pay Unlimited from 2022, your monthly recurring charge will increase from €60 to €62.70.

Some Vodafone users will be paying up to 11.2% more on their bills. This means bill pay customers will see around €5 extra on their bills and broadband customers will face an extra €7. The increases apply to mobile customers with contracts since July 2021 and broadband customers with contracts since January 2023.
