Three takeaways from the Boston Celtics 107-88 Game 2 loss to the Golden State Warriors

The 2022 NBA Finals are knotted up at one game apiece as the Golden State Warriors secured a loud Game 2 victory in San Francisco against the Boston Celtics. The series now heads to Bean Town, where the Celtics will hope to shake off an ugly and resounding loss. Game 3 tips off at 8 pm EST on Wednesday night.

Boston reverted to disappointingly familiar habits in Game 2 in the Bay. They surrendered a massive third-quarter outburst to the Dubs — the Dubs outscored the C’s 19-2 to close the period. The Celtics were careless with the ball and didn’t play to their potential, allowing the Warriors’ role players to really get going. It was ugly.

Stealing Game 1 on the road is still a big advantage for the Celtics. But the club will need to avoid making the same mistakes moving forward if they intended to raise a banner in Boston. Here are the key take-aways for the Boston Celtics from Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
