Three pedestrians dead after teen driver plows through busy Oakland sidewalk, cops say

  • Three people died and multiple others were injured in Oakland after a teenage driver allegedly sped through a street and crashed into pedestrians.
  • The incident occurred just after 11 p.m. Saturday when the underage driver reportedly hit a parked car before plowing into people while turning onto International Boulevard.
  • Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and three additional pedestrians were hospitalized with injuries ranging from critical to stable.
  • The teen driver, whose identity has not been released, was arrested and also received hospital treatment for injuries.
  • Witnesses described a chaotic and horrific scene, and police are investigating if alcohol or drugs were involved in the deadly crash.
