Three Nottinghamshire areas have recorded new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours

Nine more people have tested positive for coronavirus across Nottinghamshire, and two in Nottingham, Public Health England figures have revealed.

As of around 4pm on Saturday (July 25) there were 1,200 cases in the city, the same as on Friday.

There are now 3,037 confirmed cases across the wider county, marking a rise from 3,026 24 hours earlier.

Three areas of Nottinghamshire have recorded new cases, with Broxtowe, Gedling, Mansfield and Rushcliffe places with no new confirmed cases.

This is the breakdown for each region of Nottinghamshire:

- Ashfield 575 (+2);

- Bassetlaw 581 (+6);

- Broxtowe 433 (no change);

- Gedling 380 (no change);

- Mansfield 352 (no change);

- Newark and Sherwood 324 (+1);

- Rushcliffe 391 (no change);

Elsewhere across the East Midlands, there are 3,390 confirmed cases in Derbyshire, and 1,314 in Derby.

There are 3,232 confirmed cases across Leicestershire and 4,768 in Leicester itself.

Lab-confirmed cases in the UK are now at 298,681, a rise of 767 on yesterday's figures.

A further 25 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 29,272, NHS England said.

Patients were aged between 52 and 93 years old and all had known underlying health conditions.

Another eight deaths were reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.

Overall there have now been 45,738 Covid-related deaths across the UK after 61 were recorded in the last day.
