Three Nottingham men accused of attacking same man

Three men have pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm on a man.

Zafar Iqbal Ahmed, 35, of Harcourt Road, Forest Fields; Asmat Asmatullah Khan, 33, and Mohamed Imdad Ullah Khan, 25, both of Claremont Gardens, Sherwood, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday (May 26)

They are all charged with the inflicting GBH allegation which happened on June 12, 2020.

The men denied a joint allegation of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to the same man on the same date.

No further details were provided about the charges at a short plea and trial preparation hearing before Judge Gregory Dickinson QC, the Recorder of Nottingham.

Jon Savage, appearing over a link to the courtroom, said: "Those pleas are acceptable to the Crown".

The complainant has not cooperated with the Crown or the police investigation, the court heard.

No requests were made by barristers representing the three men for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

The sentencing is likely to take half a day and is listed on June 23.
