Three Monklands roads to close this month as motorists warned of disruption

Plains’ Ballochney Road is shutting for five days from November 4 for carriageway resurfacing works.

The closure will be between Airdriehill Road and Dykehead Road and motorists can use those two roads and the A73 Stirling Road and Airdriehill Street as alternative routes.

Utility connections to a development will see the B802 Broomknoll Street in Airdrie close for 24 hours from late on November 13.

This is from the A89 Weavers Road to Callon Street, with the former road and Stirling Street acting as diversions during the closure.

Finally, a Glenmavis road is closing from 9.30am on November 15 until 6pm three days later.

Birkenshaw Road will shut between Mollinsburn Road and Glenboig Road. This is to allow for the completion of carriageway resurfacing and diversions for motorists will include Airdrie Road and Cumbernauld Road.
