The company tweeted apologising to users for the intermittent service, but there's no further updates on when the network will be back up and running.

More than 8,000 people are believed to be affected by the outage.

The tweet reads: "We’re currently experiencing technical difficulties with voice, text and data, meaning some of you will be experiencing intermittent service.

"Please accept our apologies, we’re sorting this out right now. check back here for updates."

Customers have taken to the social network to complain. One said: "I wouldn't say intermittent service @ThreeUK , I have had nothing at all. It has been like this since last night. Having been a customer for many years, I have to say the service is getting worse not better."

While others are asking when the problem will be fixed.
