Three men arrested after 'disturbance' in Oldham

Three men have been arrested after a disturbance in Oldham.

Police said they were called to Elm Road near Lime Green Parade in the Lime Side area of the town shortly after 4.45pm today (Sunday August 30).

Few details have been released but a Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesman said officers responded to reports of a 'disturbance'.

Video posted on social media showed a shirtless man being detained and placed in the back of a van.

One man was arrested at the scene with two other men arrested nearby shortly afterwards, GMP confirmed.

Eyewitnesses said there was a huge police presence with armed officers part of the response.

"The investigation is ongoing," the spokesman added.

Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 2193 of 30/08/2020.

Or details can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
