Edinburgh Police have announced that there has been a serious collision between two vehicles on Cliftonhall Road , Newbridge.
The accident took place at approximately 3.05pm this afternoon and the road is currently closed at Clifton Trading estate.
It has been confirmed that three people have been injured in the crash - two with minor injuries and a third is currently being removed from a vehice by the emergency services.
Fire, ambulance and police services are all in attendance at the scene.
Locals have been advised that access to Clifton Hall school is via the A71 if collecting kids.
