Three in court facing attempted murder charges after man found seriously injured in Scots car park

Three people have been charged with attempted murder after a man was found seriously injured in a Fife car park.

Emergency services were called to the scene between Shetland Place and Orkney Place in Kirkcaldy at around 3am on Saturday.

A 45-year-old was found to be badly injured following reports of a ‘disturbance’, police confirmed.

He was rushed to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment however his current condition is not known.

Three people have now been charged in connection with the incident.

George McGlashan, 57, Claire McGlashan, 38, and Patricia Taylor, 60, all appeared in private at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday.

They face charges of assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder, the Crown Office said.

No pleas were entered and the case was committed for further re-examination.

Both women were released on bail to reappear at a date to be confirmed, while McGlashan was remanded in custody to appear again within the next eight days.
