Traffic has eased on Majura Parkway after a three-car collision on Wednesday evening left one person in hospital and commuters facing long delays.

Emergency services arrived at the scene on Horse Park Drive near the Federal Highway at about 4.30pm on Wednesday.

Traffic was severely backed up until about 7pm but has now eased.

One resident reported the journey from Fyshwick to the Federal Highway turn off took 90 minutes under the heavy traffic.

An Emergency Services Agency spokesman said paramedics assessed five people at the scene and one was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, a car and motorcyclist collided on Tuggeranong Parkway near William Hovell Drive just after 5pm.

The male motorcyclist has been taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Emergency services left the scene before 6pm.

Traffic in that area has also now cleared.
