The drugs were discovered yesterday afternoon at an apartment on the North Circular Road, Dublin 7.

The raid was carried out by gardai from the Bridewell District at around 2:30pm.

Heroin worth €49,000 and crack cocaine with a value of €8,500 was found during the search.

A garda spokesman said: "This operation represents significant progress in the ongoing investigation into the illegal sale and supply of drugs in the Dublin 7 area."
