Thousands of Edinburgh Harry Styles fans swarm streets outside Murrayfield ahead of gig

Thousands of Harry Styles fans have been pictured outside Murrayfield ahead of the first leg of his Love On Tour gig in the capital.

Tens of Thousands have made the journey to the capital to see the former One Direction singer-songwriter perform on Friday and Saturday evening, with local streets in the surrounding area awash with feather boas

Images uploaded to Snapmaps show scores of fans waiting outside the 67,000 capacity stadium ahead of doors opening on Friday evening, with Styles fans showing they are some of the most dedicated in the world in recent days.

We previously reported how some fans arrived at Murrayfield on Wednesday night, nearly 48 hours before the gig kicked off. Two of those travelled all the way from Australia to see Harry for the 22nd and 42nd time respectively.

Not only this, but huge queues started to form along Roseburn Street just hours later on Thursday evening as stalls began to flog merchandise including clothes, bags and magnets.

Although tickets were still on sale for the gig on Friday afternoon, tens of thousands are expected to pack out Murrayfield, similar to the scenes witnessed less than a week ago when Beyonce made the special trip to Edinburgh as part of her renaissance tour.

As expected, Harry Styles fans have shown they have no issue with waiting for hours on end to secure one of the closest views to the global superstar on Friday, with the same outcome expected 24 hours later when he gets geared up to do it all over again on Saturday night.

Images inside the stadium have also shown Harry's support act, Wet Leg, performing as the venue begins to reach full capacity. Harry is expected on stage around 8.30pm, with his set going just beyond 10pm.

BT Murrayfield has confirmed that all tickets for the shows on Friday and Saturday are required to be printed at home before attending. They said: "You MUST print your ticket before coming to the venue, otherwise you will not gain entry."
