This is why EastEnders is cancelled on Tuesday night

Viewers tuning into BBC One on Tuesday for EastEnders won't be seeing the latest from Albert Square.

Instead, the BBC will show the first semi-final in the Women's World Cup, with the show starting at 7.30pm.

Phil Neville's Lionesses take on holders the US on Tuesday evening at Lyon's Groupama Stadium, kicking off at 8pm.

This means the Tuesday night episode of EastEnders won't be shown on the day, Devon Live report.

Instead, you can catch a double episode tonight, Monday.

The Monday-night episode will be shown at 8pm and a second episode will then be shown at 9pm.

Tonight's episodes see the arrival of new character Jonno Highway, played by Richard Graham.

This week will also see disruption to the Friday episode of EastEnders - which won't be on until 8.30pm.
