This is the one Salford neighbourhood with no confirmed coronavirus deaths

There is one Salford neighbournhood which is yet to have any confirmed coronavirus deaths.

Figures from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) show that no Winton residents have passed away as a result of Covid-19 so far.

It is the only area of the city which has not been touched by the rising death toll of the pandemic.

In comparison, Broughton Park has had the highest number of deaths attributed to the coronavirus, with 15 so far.

Worsley and Higher Broughton are the other two parts of the borough to have been similarly affected, with death tolls of 14 and 13 respectively.

The figures come from an interactive map created by the ONS to show the impact the virus has had on different areas.

However, the map is based on the latest death certificates so it only shows cases which occurred between March 1 and April 17, and were registered by April 18.

All of the certificates which were recorded included coronavirus as the underlying cause of death or a contributory factor.

As of this week, 151 people have now died of Covid-19 at Salford Royal Hospital.

There has also been a spike in the number of confirmed cases of the disease, with 74 people testing positive for the virus on Sunday, taking the total across the city to 714.
