THIS is how Kangana Ranaut's parents reacted when she told them she aspired to be Miss India as a child

Kangana Ranaut has spoken several times in the past about how her family was not on board with her idea of becoming an actor. In fact, her father wanted her to become a doctor.

In a throwback interview with Simi Garewal, Kangana’s father said that the actress would always talk about becoming Miss India while growing up. He revealed that they would all laugh about it because they had no idea what she would become in the future. According to him, they all wanted her to be a doctor.

In the same interview, Kangana also recalled that every time guests arrived at their house, her parents would ask her what she wanted to be. She used to say Miss India. They used to laugh at her, like she said something weird. Then she stopped it when she was 14 or 15. If somebody asked her, "What do you want to become?" She would say doctor.

When asked if it bothered her that they didn't encourage her dream, Kangana stated that she never felt bad about it because her parents are very simple people. They are very nice, honest, and innocent people. The actress added that she realised it’s not like they don't want to help her, it’s just that they cannot help her.

Kangana will be seen in the upcoming film 'Tejas,' in which she will play an Air Force pilot. She also has projects like, ‘Emergency’, ‘Chandramukhi 2’, ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda’ and ‘The Incarnation: Sita’ in the pipeline.
