Is Drew Brees’s incredible NFL career over? Did we just witness the quarterback’s final game in a New Orleans Saints uniform, a dud of a playoff performance that included three interceptions? How cool was it to see Tom Brady and Brees meet up well after the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
That last one can be answered: so cool! The rest, however, is up in the air. As the quarterback told reporters after the game — via USA TODAY Sports — “I’m going to give myself the opportunity to process the season just like I did last year.”
But it sure looked like Brees was saying a farewell as he was walking off the field (before his postgame hangout on the Superdome turf):
