These two massive knives have been found in the last three days

Two huge knives have been found in Greater Manchester in the last three days.

A large ornamental-style dragon blade was found dumped in a couple's back garden in Old Trafford.

The point of the weapon was spotted poking out of a black bin liner behind a house on Lillian Street, near Seymour Park, on Thursday.

The finder, who asked not to be identified, shared the pictures with the Manchester Evening News to warn others of knives in the area.

They said the knife was approximately 50cm long.

It was handed into Stretford police station.

"I went to bring the bin in at 2pm and throughly it was just an empty bag but thankfully saw the handle before I grabbed it.

"I phoned the police and they advised me to bring it into the station - which I did.

"I wanted to share the photos as a warning for other people."
