These savvy Bramham lads, 13, are making a mint at Leeds Festival 2021

Two savvy Leeds teenagers have figured out a way to enjoy Leeds Festival and how to make money at the same time.

Charlie Speight and Alfie Armitage are two 13-year-old Leeds fans, from Bramham, who have been going to Leeds Festival with their parents for the past few years.

As well as having a great time at the live music event, the schoolmates have also worked out a nifty money-making scheme.

They realised if you hand in your paper cups in during the festival you get 10p in return.

So, as well as watching some of their favourite artists play, they also take the time to collect as many cups as possible.

Speaking to Leeds Live, Alfie explained: “You get 10p per cup if you hand them in at collection points around the place.

“Also it helps the people that have to clean up after the weekend.”

Many festival-goers knew what the lads were doing and so helpfully added cups to their towers.
