Gin giant Bombay Sapphire has teamed up with award-winning British actor Russell Tovey to launch the Bombay Bramble limited-edition artist series at Selfridges.
From November 2, Selfridges customers will be able to choose one of three bottle designs and personalise the labels with names to make the tastiest, booziest gift this Christmas.
Bombay Bramble, which launched just before the lockdown in March, is bursting with juicy blackberry and raspberry notes and marks the latest creative expression of the brand’s world-famous gin.
Co-host of art-focused podcast TalkART Tovey selected three artists to feature on the labels of the limited edition bottles: fine artist Alfie Kungu, print artist and painter Charlotte McDonald and printmaker Rose Electra Harris.
He said: “It’s a pleasure to be given the chance to shine a light on three incredible artists at this exciting stage of their careers and help them to be discovered via these artistic bottles that will now live on people’s drinks cabinets as pieces of art!
Working on this project with Bombay Bramble and having the privilege of discovering and curating this host of budding artists embodies what I love about creativity – its power to connect – from one artist’s inspiration to their produced artwork, to those who appreciate it and those who, in the future generation then take inspiration from it.”
Want to get your mitts on one? If you can’t pop into the London, Birmingham or Manchester stores, the bottles will also be available for purchase at Selfridges.com.
Best of all, in a heartening show of support to the UK’s art community, Bombay Sapphire will make a donation to the Art Benevolent Fund to support graduate and emerging artists.
